AN ENJOYABLE NIGHT
laurance--The other night certainly was an interesting one,wasn't it?

laurance--Immensely.I don't think I've ever been with such a stimulating group of people.
soony--They are lively,aren't they?I think they're one of the liveliest groups I've ever been with.
laurance--I certainly got my mind stretched!I think it was shrinking!
soony--I find that's true with me,too.One needs that kind of company now and again just to keep the old gray matter from getting stagnant!
laurance--Will the group be meeting again soon?
soony--Not for another two months.We're taking a month's break because so many of us are going to be on vacation.
laurance--Well,let me know when you're going to meet again.I'd like to join you.

2）played super ball:球踢得好极了。
3）evenly matched:势均力敌。match是“相匹配”之意。
4）It could have gone either way.=Either team could have won or lost.It指的是球赛的结果。因为实际上输赢已定，所以此句用了虚拟语气，反映说话人的看法而已。
5）really someting:意思是“非同寻常的事情。”
